Our Irish

Tuuli
Liafain Springtime, born 28.8.2013 / the Four Seasons litter

Tuuli is our rollicking girl with huge movement and elegant presence, pictured above 2 and 4 years old. She is true to her name, Tuuli means Wind. She is a bit bossy and loves attention. She is tall and angulated both front and rear, and she is very birdy and playful. She is a Sametti and Jonas daughter.

Peppi
Liafain Colors of Fall, born 28.8.2013 / the Four Seasons litter

Peppi, at two years of age above, is a happy and lively Irish, but first and foremost she is a clever, gentle and elegant lady, aware of her charm. She is VERY good at collecting hugs. She moves big and has a very balanced and correct conformation. She is birdy but loves also to point butterflies. She is a Sametti and Jonas daughter.

Prinssi
Liafain Blue Moment, born 28.8.2013 / the Four Seasons litter

The only boy in the litter, he is used to lots of sisterly attention and knows how to be a Prince - as long as he remembers that princesses go first. He has a happy and playful temperament, nice conformation and he really moves. When he doesn't run outdoors, he is 'gone fishing': like his grandsire Roihu years ago, he surprises everyone by standing still in the lake for hours, pointing fish and water spiders.

Sametti
AmCh Liafain Atlantic Song 2005-2016

Sametti was Silkki and Roihu daughter and the dam of the Four Seasons litter. She had the softest of temperaments, an effortlessly elegant presence and good movement with nice front and rear angulation.

She was shown in Finland as a young bitch and visited the States in early 2011, where she finished her American Championship in two months with three majors, including a 5 pt major. She was beautifully shown by Peter Kubacz of the Ramblin Acres Kennel. She was also presented at the breeders' seminar of the annual Irish Setter National Show of the Irish Setter Club of America in Oklahoma City.

Silkki
Morrigan In Northern Lights, 2000-2015

Silkki is the dam of our Ocean and Time litters. She was bred by Margaret and Robert McKay (Morrigan Irish Setters) in the United States.

She was our elegant and birdy watchdog, a very correct lady with nice and effortless conformation and lots and lots of coat. Up to a very high age she was a committed mother who used to discipline her grown-up pups and grandkids, if the going got too wild. She had BOBs and Group 1 but if you asked her, she preferred to be the queen of the coach or run free in the countryside. She hated to be walked in a leash as if she were... a dog.

Roihu
Liafail Pegasus, 1995-2008

Roihu, the sire of our Ocean litter, brought the Liafail and Kerry-Eire Irish Setter lines to Europe. He was bred in the States by Dr. and Mrs. McCrory (Liafail) together with Susan Griffiths (Kerry-Eire). He was an elegant boy with lovely, lovely temperament, and he moved truly. He spent his summers at lakeside, standing still in water and pointing not only birds, but also fish. He moved to Finland with us at a mature age. He was BOS at 10 years and had BIS Veteran 1 and other placements in large all breed shows. Gray-faced, he ended up in the final cut of 4 dogs in the annual national Veteran of Veterans Gala in Espoo, Finland.

Kaneli
Morrigan Cinnamon Summer, 2003-2016

Our dark and gentle boy was bred in 2003 by the McKays, and he is the sire of our Time litter. His dam is AmCh Morrigan's Red Skye at Night and his sire is AmCh Sandcastle Bronx Bomber. He was shown sparingly and was a loving member of the family, living into a senior age.
